1. What are the days that you DO NOT hold lessons this 2009 year?
Great Question! Our teaching studios are closed the following days this year. We will hold lessons every other day. Our store hours are different than our lesson schedule, so you can still shop on a few of these days. Enjoy the holidays and make sure to practice extra hard these weeks of the year!

2. I left my lesson books/materials at the store by accident, do you have a lost and found?
We do have a lost in found. We do recommend that you write your name, phone number, and teacher’s name on the inside cover of your book. If you leave behind an iPod or phone, or anything else of value – please call us at (708) 588-0777 as soon as you realize that you forgot something.
3. I missed my lesson, can I have a make up lesson?
No you may not. We have very full schedules for our instructors, and we pay them regardless if you are at your lesson or not. We apologize for this policy, but we find that when we have had make up lessons – that people abuse the policy.
4. Do you offer group guitar lessons?
For the benefit of all students involved – we do not offer group lessons. Group lessons seem like a great idea on paper, but they turn out to be a lot of effort by the instructor, and not a lot of reward for each individual student. We do allow parents to sit in and watch/join in on lessons with a younger student. But our priority will be the student with the name on the time slot.
5. How is lesson tuition tracked? How do you keep your records?
We track tuition in 3 different ways:
• We hand record all payments on a lesson spreadsheet
• We input all payments for lessons in our computer system that is tied to an account with your name on it
• Last but not least – for checks and credit card payment – we have a hard copy of all payments via bank statements, checks, and credit card receipts/statements.
If you ever have a question about the balance on your account please call us, e-mail us, or stop by.
6. How long has my teacher been playing their instrument?
You can either ask your teacher directly – they’d be happy to tell you, or you can visit our section on our teachers, called Instructor Profiles here on the website.
7. If I know in advance that I can't make a lesson, do I still have to pay for it?
Yes you do. We pay our instructors for the time slots that they are here for. While we understand that life does not revolve around guitar lessons, we also need to be able to keep a paid schedule of lessons for our instructors.
8. I'm very sick, should I still go to my lesson?
• What will the quality of the lesson be if you do attend your lesson?
• Are you in the mood to play guitar?
I ask those questions, because while everyone does pay for their time slot, sometimes it’s better to sit it out and just wait for next week. Also, our instructors don’t want to get sick, as do other students/people that come in contact with you through touching equipment/doorknobs in our shop. Our instructor will be much happier to work with you if you don’t get them sick!
9. My instrument isn't playing very well. Something is wrong, can you fix it?
Yes we can. About 90 percent of all repairs for the shop are done in house and at great rates. There are only a few things that we can’t fix at our store, or won’t because your instrument is still under warranty. We will give you an idea of what the cost will be when we receive the item, as well as contact you when the repair is complete so you don’t have to guess when it is ready. Most repair is turned around within 2 business days of receiving the item too. For more information, please visit our repairs section of our website.
10. What forms of payment do you accept for tuition?
You can pay with cash, check, and all major credit cards including: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and check cards that either have a Visa or Mastercard logo. We can not give cash back on purchases.
